Jeri and John 'do' Southern California (without Los Angeles!)

 

Last year, Jeri's High School pal, Nadine Becker and her husband Dickey sold us on attending the 2003 version of an  'event' called 'Pageant of the Masters' (more on that later) ' held in Laguna Beach CA every July through August. Our date was for Aug. 22.

 

Since we hadn't taken a vacation (what with the birth of the Golden Grandchild and all, we decided to go to SoCal a week early, and 'do' some of the sights and attractions we've missed over the years.

 

For sure, we both wanted to see Santa Catalina Island. I wanted to visit the San Diego Zoo. We thought San Juan Capistrano might be neat to see too. So we did.
